Accessibility Statement

Precision Operations Group's commitment to digital accessibility, the measures taken, known limitations, and how to request assistance.

Last updated

Precision Operations Group is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology used to reach it. This statement sets out what we have done, what we know is imperfect, and how to reach us if you encounter a barrier.

1. Our commitment

We treat accessibility as a design requirement rather than a remediation exercise. Accessibility considerations are applied when features are built, and form part of how changes are reviewed before release.

2. Conformance status

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We describe our status as partially conformant: much of the site meets the standard, but we have not completed an independent third-party audit and some content may not yet fully conform.

We state this deliberately rather than claiming full conformance. An unqualified conformance claim would imply a level of verification we have not yet obtained.

3. Measures we have taken

  • Semantic HTML with one descriptive heading hierarchy per page, landmark regions, and a skip link to the main content.
  • Full keyboard operability — navigation menus, dialogs, tabbed interfaces, and every form control — with a visible focus indicator throughout.
  • Form fields with persistent visible labels, programmatically associated error messages, and required status conveyed to assistive technology rather than by color alone.
  • Interface colors selected to meet WCAG contrast minimums, with the focus indicator using a color chosen for contrast rather than brand preference.
  • Meaningful alternative text on informative images; decorative artwork is hidden from assistive technology so it is not announced.
  • Animated statistics expose their final value to assistive technology rather than a stream of intermediate numbers.
  • Reduced-motion support — animation, parallax, and page transitions are disabled when the operating system requests reduced motion.
  • Layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels and remain usable at 200% text zoom.
  • Dialogs and slide-over panels that take focus when opened, keep focus within themselves while open, close on the Escape key, and return focus to the control that opened them.
  • Pointer targets of at least 24 by 24 CSS pixels outside of links set inline within a sentence.
  • Automated accessibility checks over every route, plus keyboard-operation and screen-reader-semantics checks, run as part of the test suite so a regression fails the build rather than reaching the site.

4. Technical specifications

Accessibility of this site relies on HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS, and JavaScript. The site is built to work in current versions of major browsers with assistive technologies including screen readers, magnification software, and speech recognition.

5. How we assess accessibility

We assess accessibility through a combination of automated tooling and manual review, including keyboard-only operation and inspection of the accessibility tree. We have not commissioned an external audit or formal usability testing with people with disabilities. Both would strengthen this statement, and we regard them as outstanding.

6. Known limitations

We publish known gaps rather than omit them:

  • Some imagery is illustrative placeholder artwork pending final photography; alternative text will be revisited when it is replaced.
  • Documents offered for download have not been assessed for accessibility and may not be fully tagged.
  • Third-party content added in future — mapping, video, or scheduling tools — may not meet the same standard as content we author.
  • The site has not been tested against every combination of browser and assistive technology.

7. Requesting assistance or an alternative format

If you cannot access any part of this site, or need information in an alternative format such as large print, plain text, or a spoken read-through, contact us and we will provide it. We will not ask why you need it.

8. Reporting a barrier or requesting an alternative format
